That is a brand new part from Raxiom so I can't imagine there are many people on here that have it. I can say that the Raxiom Spare Tire Backup Camera Mount Bracket is very stout for a camera mount! Let me know if you're interested in one and I'll get you set with a quote!

Ryan,

What sis the size of the tube the camera goes in? So we can determine if out existing camera will work. Thanks!

Mike,

I just measured one and it's about 3/4" ID. Let me know if you have any other questions and I'll get you any info I can!

I followed the factory wiring from the front along the passenger side and into the tailgate. The only issue I had was connecting the camera to the inside wire harness. The wires from the camera aren't quite long enough once you feed them through the tailgate to be able to connect them to the inside wires with the mount in place. I routed the wires through the mount but didn't put it over the spare studs until after I had connected the camera to the inside harness. Make sure that you don't completely push the camera in until you have everything hooked up so you can make sure it's aligned correctly. It's not a difficult install at all...just takes time. I'm extremely particular about making sure everything is neat and clean so probably took me a little longer than usual to complete the whole thing.

I'm glad the install went pretty smoothly for you and you were able to get a nice clean install! That's a good tip about not pushing the camera into the mount until you get it fired up so you can get it oriented correctly. I know it doesn't like to come back out of the mount once it's fully seated. Thanks for the review!

I am pleased with the mount. You can kind of justify the cost of the mount by the fact that you can use the amazon bullet camera.'

I used a 9v battery and a TV video Input to orient the camera and assemble the mount prior to putting it on the jeep (which I haven't gotten around to)

So anyone that has done this set up what size camera did you use? I see 1/4" and Ryan said 3/4" was camera size and I saw another post that said they used a 1" camera??

So I'm getting the Lockpick because I want the other features it can offer, do you know if will these cameras work with that and the 430N head unit? Do either have the guide lines?

Also on the Boss which camera, Wide Angle or Triggerwire?

Thanks!

I have the Raxiom mount:

The amazon camera with the "Boss" name is the one i recommend. I had originally purchased the other amazon "1/4 CCD camera" that others link, but it fit fine only after snapping off two of the metal tabs, because it was way to much force to push in.

on first test, i thought that the angle was wrong and sure enough something internally to the camera was not right and it was clocked to the left. I had to remove and send it back.

I ordered the BOSS that others also recommended and that unit fit way better, didnt need to remove any of the 4 metal tabs at all.

It plugged into the red plug i had already routed with the first camera.....so the 2nd install with the boss was easy. the boss was way clearer picture and fit perfect.

Can I get a quote for this? Your site says you are out of stock?

Also still wondering about how this works with aftermarket spare? Can I return it for a refund?

Thanks
The bracket mounts between the spare tire mount and the wheel so the back spacing won't effect the mount.

I'll shoot you a PM with a quote now!

Are you using the app? Often users will get an error but the message actually goes through. I did get all of your messages and responded! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Curious if anyone has used this mount with the Teraflex HD carrier? Description says "works with stock", but I can't see why it wouldn't work with the HD. Also, anyone running this and a license plate relocation? I could see there being an issue, but it looks adjustable enough. Wanting to do my HD/ plate relocate/ camera add in one shot. Thanks in advance!
