ready for high water

I didn't see a thread on here about what's needed to get my Jeep safe for high water. I know a snorkel but any advice would be awesome.

you need to extend the breathers on both axles and the transfer case.

I have seen the snorkel kits on Jeeps and start to laugh. As a US Marine we had snorkels and high lift exhaust on hummers to go through high water. We also had hand throttles so when you are sitting on the top of the seat you could still have a throttle. I am assuming that if if Jeeps went through high water (well enough to justify the cost of snorkel) do you either hold your breath or just drive at idle speeds?

- Video Tube for YouTube - iPhone/iPad He had a snorkel..., IMO it's a waste of money and a false sense of security!
