I'm switching to a three link rear soon and I really wanted to run the rear antirock to compliment the front. Problem is the mounting bracket for my Gobi rack will interfere with the arm of the antirock. My thought is, if I turn the bracket upside down and mount the antirock lower, then shorten my rear swaybar links (no shorter than my lift height) so I accomplish the same angle as prescribed by Currie, in theory the geometry and forces applied should be identical. Any thoughts on this? I asked Currie and the dude I talked to said he's never even heard of Gobi and that was about all I could get out of him.
Sorry to be a bit off topic, but how do you like the Gobi. Have a Willys Wheeler on order and that's the first thing I want to purchase. Concerned about how I'm going to get the hard top off and if it will be a total PITA. Again, sorry, just haven't seen that many people with Gobi racks so thought I'd take a shot...
I like the rack a lot, but getting the top on and off is a pain. I take it off in spring and put it on in the fall. Its not terrible, but not nearly as easy as without it. Other than that its quite handy.
I now carry a pair of skis up there as well.
