Replacing u-joint question

Just found a broken u-joint today and being that I am not a u-joint expert, figured I'd ask you folks what the differences are between the u-joints out there? Chromoly vs Spicer for example? There's a pretty big difference in price. I get the gist when it comes to the kind that are sealed vs. the kind requiring grease and opinions differ there. But is there anything else?

I'm a fan of Spicer brand joints. The big beefy ones may be super strong but that just means you're just going to break a shaft or a hub or twist a driveshaft into a pretzel instead. I'd rather replace a ujoint than have to fish half an axle shaft out of a tube.

Exactly. You want the "weak link" to be your u-joint. No need to spend big money on u-joints.

Thanks, ya'll. That's kinda what I was thinking too but I'm no expert so nice to get other opinions. Was looking at u-joints yesterday and one site had a disclaimer that the Yukon chromoly were for off road use only. I'm going with Spicer and will hopefully have it fixed this weekend.
