Road salt

Just wondering if anyone else in the "winter" states get this -- i have salt that forms on the seams and drops on the interior, but I don't have any leaks. Do I need to use seam sealer on the soft top

If the salt is seeping in, the moisture is too. Seem sealer would help, but only if you can wash and dry the top good enough first. Since it's not leaking I personally would wait until spring when you can really wash it down good and let it dry in the sun.

I hate the salt here in Ohio but I hated the mag chloride that Colorado used as well.

I'm from northern Wisconsin, no issues with salt seaping in, but then again how would I know, the whole thing is covered in white. Outside should be deep cherry red, the floor mats should be black. I'll find out for sure what the original colors are in spring!
As far as taking it thru a car wash, what's the point? By the time we get back home it's white again.
I carry a pail in the back with a spray bottle of window cleaner and a roll of paper towels. Even have to clean the headlights once in a while because they get covered with salt.
Witer, don't you just love it?
