Rock krawler REAL height.

Alright guys, I have a 2011 2 door. I plan on getting 35s, and a RK 2.5 inch lift. My problem is I found a great deal on some fox resi shocks for 4-6 inches of lift.

So can I run those with my RK 2.5? Iv heard it gives a good bit more lift than it says, and with me having poison spyder BFH bumpers (very light) along with no winch, no full spare for now, and a soft top, could I pull it off? I could get the 3.5, but Im scared my tires will look too small with it!

Thanks.

Sounds like you will be perfect with the 2.5 RK. I actually gained about 4.5" initially, but it has settled a little now. Running 37's with either flatties, or no flares when wheeling. I have a 12K winch, and steel bumpers/skids

You can run those shocks. You'll just get more droop out of the suspension. Just remember to replace your brake lines since you'll have more droop than the stock lines are capable of.

For a 2 door I'd go with the 2.5". The springs are made for both the 2 and 4 door wranglers so you'll gain more heighth than it says. I gained probably 4.25-4.5" total height on my 4 door in the 3.5" rk X factor lift. 2 doors record even higher.

2 door:2.5"
4 door:3.5"

As an addendum to my first post, and after re-reading your real question.
YES the Fox shocks for 4 in. to 6 in. of lift will be perfect for the 2.5 RK lift. That is exactly what I am using on mine and no problems. Only difference is my shocks are non-reservoir.
As to the brake line statement.... RK did include longer lines with the 2.5 Max Travel kit, just make sure to use them.
Good luck with your build.

I don't know the compressed length of those shocks, but along with making sure the brake lines are long enough you'll want to make sure the bump stops are the proper length. Good Luck!

The new coils are softer, collapse on each other and won't sit you so high. My 2 door is right around 3.5" but both front and rear.

Yes you can run a longer shock. RK's site list shock specs. Just choose the lift. "Shock options" is right above the description. Bump stop recs are there as well. Good luck !!

Sir, the 2.5 coils as they are now will provide you with 3.5" of lift for your 2 door.

We are considering switching things up a bit for 2015 and making sure everything is nominal for 2 door and 4 doors..

With our 2.5" coils and flat fenders, you can run 38 x 13.5's as well.

Good luck with your build..

Alright 3 inches is the magic number? Sounds great il order those as well

EDIT: I'm going to run 35s with this set up, and flat fenders. What is the best I can get away with?

What do you mean by "get away with"??
FYI .... I am running the 2.5 Max Travel, Flats, and 37's. Does that help??

yeah that does, but me running the same setup but with 35s, should I still get 3 inch bumpstops? I just want the most from my lift.

I think so. If you go 2" you risk bottoming your shocks.

What I did was to get 2 inch bump stops and ran them till I figured out that I needed a little more, then added a inch to them.
