Rugged Ridge snorkle

I am thinking about buying a RR snorkle and was looking at the kit online and and it looks like a section of it gets very thin. I don't go in water much but would like the extra piece of mind. Wondering if anyone that installed it had any loss off performance or gas mileage?

Low speeds you may see a bit of a loss of performance but at high speeds it wouldn't change much. One thing to think about is that is mounted in front of your windshield, not next to it like the AEV so it may block your vision a bit

I recently installed it, I can't say that I noticed a decrease in performance, but there also was no gain.

My gas mileage is either the same or slightly better. I reset the one in the gauage cluster. Usually I would get around 16-17mpg around town, and now I am at 17-18.

I gained 1mpg with my 32's but then went to 35's and lost any gain.
It works well I would say. I also purchased the optional Dust Filter from RR and it helps a lot on dusty trails keeping my air cleaner free from added dust.
