I bashed up my passenger side liner pretty badly when I was off-roading. so I took it off. I ordered some of MetalCloak's aluminum fender liners, but they won't be here for another week. I'm a little concerned with those pretty substantial wiring harnesses that rest on the passenger side firewall.
Will I be ok when it trains? The harnesses are located in the perfect spot to get water thrown up on there from the tires.
If I lived where there was a lot of bad winter weather, I would want them to keep the road salt and brine out.......but we don't have much of that here. Also, the engine compartment stays cooler without them in the summer.
I have been without inner liners for years. The "dont blast through water like an idiot unless you want to destroy your motor" rule becomes VERY IMPORTANT
Yeah, I would imagine that while liners obviously do not make things watertight, they seem to deflect a lot of water that gets splashed.
Thanks guys!
