I drove mine straight home and ripped and replaced the entire Alpine system back in 2013. Best money spent on my Jeep as I use it every day.
Recommendation, don't just replace speakers or you'll be on here asking how you can get more out of your system. Don't keep the factory HU or you'll wonder why you spent so much and it doesn't sound better, just louder. Do it right. Go listen to speakers and look at equipment and choose what sounds best to you. Have fun.
Recommendations (my personal system is all caps for reference)
HU: Alpine, PIONEER or Kenwood (I chose removable face double DIN)
Amps: Rockford Fosgate, JL Audio, Alpine, Arc (stick to reputable brands with accurate specs)
Speakers: FOCAL, Hertz, JL (2007-2014 6 1/2" component speakers in front, matching 6 1/2" coax in rear, 6 1/2" components front and rear in '15)
Subs: JL, Alpine, SUNDOWN (I used 10" shallow mount under my seats)
Here is my system.
HU: Kenwood DNX892
AMP: Alpine PDX-V9
Fr. Spkr: Alpine SPR-60C
Rr. Spkr: Kicker 40CS654
Sub: JL Audio 12TW3-D4
Like Mattk11 said above do it right. Do the full system. You will love it.
