spiderwebshade Jk4 door flapping

I just installed my spiderweb shade and it flaps on the rear sport cage bar when going over 40mph.

It is taut and wraps slightly around the rear crossbar on the sport cage.

I followed the instructional video exactly. Has anyone else had this issue and how did you resolve?

Mine flaps a little - I'm thinking to lay a strip of Velcro along the top of the bar in an attempt to leverage the grommet Velcro patches (haven't fully fleshed this idea out yet).

Another idea: bungee cord through the grommets.

I've also found that the shade "buzzes" on top of my soundbar when certain music is playing at about 75% volume.

I have the velcro closures covering the grommets for the hardtop bolt holes (I'm running a soft top)so it's not the grommets... sounds like the mesh itself is lightly touching the top of the soundbar and adds it's own unwelcome component to the music.

My other issue is that the spyderballs at the front corners have to rest on top of the plastic corner trim and it pushes up on the top at the corners. It's causing a whistle from the top that I didn't have before.

Sooo.... it seems everyone loves these things. Maybe it just needs some hot days to stretch out or conform or whatever but I'm not digging it at present.

I just folded a towel and put it up there....no more flapping.

But the pure flapping wasn't the issue, it was the metal grommets flapping against the plastic the drove me crazy.

Lot of cheap and easy fixes. Velcro is one.... Or using a pair of long bolts, two wing nuts, and 4 washers through the holes there to "clamp" it down is another fix.

I'm still waiting for a few warm days for mine to "settle". It's a mesh top that is not perfectly sealed, so there is going to be noise. I just need it to relax some so I can adjust it as best as I can get it - sounds like you are in the same boat.
