squeaky drivetrain

I have a 08 2dr with a solid amount of mods including a 2.5" teraflex coil lift (w/shocks), and just recently, I've been noticing a component in the drivetrain squeaking quietly but noticeably. I can't figure out exactly where it is, but It really squeaks louder when i'm in D, rather than when the engine is off or i'm in N. If I shake the thing back and forth when it's turned off, it also shows up. It does not usually squeak louder over bumps, so It is really just a constant kind of whine at this point. It is quiet, but I'm driving a few hundred miles this weekend and want to make sure I don't break down in the middle of my trip. Any idea what this could be? I'm in college so I don't have access to anything other than my wrench set on me, but before I take it to the dealer to see what is up, I'd love to hear some ideas from y'all. One last thing: i am positive that this is a problem with the drivetrain or the suspension, since I can hear it outside the cabin and trace it to underneath the Jeep.

Thanks a ton guys. Let me know what you think.

With being a 08 I assume that you don't have a warranty? I wouldn't take it to the Stealership. You said it squeaks with the engine off when rocked back and fourth. How many miles do you have on it? I would buy a can of WD-40 or some type of spray lubricant. Make sure you get a can that has the small straw on it. Spray all of your joints. Mainly the upper and lower control arms. Spray both ends of your track bar. Since the (stock) drive train does not have grease fittings you need to try and get the lubricant inside the bushings and bolts. You may have to do it several times. Keep it away from the exhaust. If you get it on the exhaust it will cause unwanted smoke and fumes. Your bushings may be worn out. It will not fix the problem but will only mask it. Having worn out parts can cause death wobble. I had a bad shock that made noise like that. The lubricant is a cheap trick that you can try.

WD makes a great silicon spray for squeaks!
I use it on everything rubber under my Wrangler. Being in hot dry Arizona, everything really drys out in a hurry. I soak mine every couple of months.

Make sure its not the seat. I have a 2013 and my seat sounds like a wooden pirate ship right now. Thought it was the dash at first.

Thanks a ton guys. I actually do have a warranty and only 30k miles, but I will try to lubricate the joints right after class tomorrow. I have been fighting some minor wobbles for a while now, so id imagine that something is just getting worn out. Unfortunately, the dealership here in Durham is subpar at best, so I will definitely try everything before heading over there.
