We have a couple of Stingers or at least stinger style hoops that you can bolt onto your factory front bumper. Custom is always another options. Let me know if you have questions or would like a quote on anything you see!

So, what exactly does a stinger do for your Jeep? Is it just an expensive accessory on which to hang some extra lights? Or do they serve another purpose? How often do Jeeps use stingers?

Stingers were originally developed to stop the Jeep from flipping forward if you took to steep a downhill run. At least that's what I was told

The "real" reason to have one is that it keeps you from flipping over forward when descending very steep terrain. The majority of Jeep owners will never use it this way, but that was the original design. Most just run one because they like the way it looks. If the stinger is high enough and braced enough it can also protect the radiator in a rollover situation, like a grille guard would do. Let me know if you have other questions!

Sure! The MBRP Light/Grille Guard System will bolt onto your factory bumper. That is going to be the closest thing to a sting that we have that will bolt up to your factory bumper. Let me know if you have other questions or if you'd like a quote!

That's the real reason I got my brawler bar on m,y bumper. Saves on ammo. Its just to high up for most hogs is my only regret

A stinger on an OEM bumper wont serve any purpose other than aesthetics.

XTryan made some good points, they also can be great in a rollover. you can drive out with a banged up body and cage, but you arent going anywhere with a smashed radiator.

Great posts, I thought they were for taking on steep uphill ascents where you basically use them like frontal crawlers to get a start up on a rock.
