Hello, I recently installed Fox 2.0 Evolution shocks and Rough Country 2.5 coil springs on my 2 door 2012 JK, but it has super stiff ride now, I checked on Rough Country´s web page and it says those springs have the same rate than the OEM, does anyone know why this might be happening?
During the install did you loosen the control arm bolts and then retighten when the vehicle was back on the ground? If you did not do this the control arms are pre-loaded and not working properly. This could lead to a rough ride.
It's called "rough country" for a reason. They ride like ass. Chinese cheap stuff.
Get some softer coils (Rock crawler, Evo plush, or the like), adjustable longer sway bar links or even better, disconnects like JKS. Then either get adjustable front lower arms or rancho or AEV drop brackets to fix the front caster. Yes front adjustable trac bar centers the axle. Take a tape measure from your shock tower to outside of tire on both sides and see what the difference is. I'd get longer bump stops too, but you have the pull the coils to put those in.
what do you thing about Teraflex 2.5 inch lift kit? it includes the springs, bumpstops, rear track bar relocation bracket and rear sway bar links. Will it be a complete kit? or will I need anything else?
Yea SL was super excited to get the new TB's and arms out. Heck i arrived home to find a box froM SL. The rep sent me one to try and never said a thing haha
Been running it for a while now. Great TB for the money.
the person I´m buying those things from told me that, I think I have to change my supplier hahahaha, anyway, is it TRULY necessary to have the axles centered? I mean while I save a bit of money so I can buy maybe JKS´s? I dont want to spend on brackets and then on new track bars so maybe I could stay stock for a while
awesome!! I truly appreciate all your tips and replies, in the future I know where to find some answers.
THANK YOU!
