Suspension Advice Needed: adding Front CA Brackets

Hi All,

I've been driving around with the Teraflex 2.5 coil lift and rancho 9000xl shocks now for about a year on 295/70/17 tires. I have a 2 door with flat fenders. I have no complaints other than than nose dive on heavy braking. I will be adding 35" tires 315/70/17 and along with that want to start beefing up the suspension to be reliable with that setup. Question: I have just purchased the rancho front control arm brackets to correct geometry and help with the nose dive on braking, but I Believe those attach to the front lower control arms. Do I also need anything for the front upper control arms or rear upper/lower control arms or is just the drop brackets for the front lower sufficient?

Thanks in advance!

Not trying to hijack but don't want to make another thread on same topic. I have the geo brackets and am looking at the synergy fixed arms for lower, but what should be done with the uppers in front. Just use stock or are you forced to use adj arms on top? I am running the TF 2.5 lift.

One more question. The drop brackets just came in, and I also went ahead and ordered some sway bar disconnects- I know the drop brackets can be installed with jeep on ground and wheels on, but what about the disconnects? Is this an easy install? I was considering installing both myself at the same time in my driveway.

Everything but the coils can be installed at ride height (on the ground)

If adjustable.
-Park on flat ground.
-choose a side and set it so the swaybar points up +5° or so.
- take the other link and adjust it so each bolt slides through the mount holes.
- tighten everything up

So I installed the drop brackets this weekend. It was not as "easy" as I had hoped being that I did the install on the ground with wheels on and didn't have an impact wrench. The bolts were a bear to loosen/tighten even with break free and I did end up having to cut the passenger side bolt due to the exhaust being on the way (2013 wrangler). I ended up going out and purchasing an impact wrench (love having an excuse to buy more tools). Overall the suspension feels tighter and there is a big improvement in front end dive under braking.

Question- I am a bit concerned that I over tightened/ under tightened the bolts. I know I should have used a torque wrench to get to specs... Upon driving the vehicle everything "feels" okay but I have noticed some popping sounds like metal flexing every once in a while under heavy braking. Should I be alarmed?
