suspension only or suspension and body lift

im about to buy my first jeep!!! a 2009 2dr wrangler X im so excited i cant sleep at night haha!! but im going to put 35" mud grapplers under it. i was wondering if i should do a 5" suspension lift or a 4" suspension lift with a 1" body lift? it will be my daily driver but will also see its fair share of off roading.

You can fit 35's on the JK with about 3.5" of lift, maybe less, as I recall. Also if its going to be your daily driver.. 35's are going to kill your gas mpg.

i have a rubicon and 35's with a 3" bds lift and it rubbed the front splash panel under the bumper at full turn . added 1" daystar spacers and that cured the problem . with 35's you will definately need a gear swap. the rubicon already has lower gears than the x and my 35's sucked the life out of the motor.

idont no if you can upgrade gearing or not. the rubi has dana 44 axles front and rear. the x and sahara do not. the day star spacer kit was around $100 i cant remember exactly. pretty easy to install.
