Sway

Just lifted my 08 4 door with a Rubicon 3.5" lift kit with shocks, 35's with new rims and this thing sways like no tomorrow. Also I still have the known death wobble which was before I lifted the jeep. Part of me lifting my jeep was the death wobble and this lift kit replaces shocks, springs and sway bar plus I put a new steering dampener and tie rod ends. I have sway the wobble which isn't as bad but is there and my traction light comes on and works when I turn corners at certain speeds or sharper than other corners. I need to know if this is common for sway when lifted and what else could keep causing the wobble. Help I'm ready to sell or trade her in since she has became a money pit.

One more thing I had the lift kit installed by a mechanic because I know little about cars in general. I did have the front end aligned and the steering wheel was straight then I noticed it creeps down and left from looking at it being straight across. Went in the aligned the steering wheel again and I noticed in 2 days it's not straight again. This tells me something isn't tight maybe so what would cause the steering to move after a couple days of driving.

Something has to be loose. Check the drag link adjusting sleeve

If you've not done balljoints yet that is a good place to start. Putting in a lift will further aggravate the effects of bad/worn balljoints. Swaying is more an issue of height vs soft springs and shocks. Firmer shocks will stiffen up the ride.

Unfortunately Death Wobble should have been addressed before the lift. Just throwing parts at it doesn't fix the root problem.

As for you traction control light. That issue should clear once you program for the bigger tires. The bigger tires have a different wheel speed so it throws the traction control off.

Good luck. Hope you get it sorted out.
