Sway Bar Disco

Hello,
I am TJ Rubicon owner, so I am asking these questions on behalf of my best friend. He has an 07 Rubicon Unlimited. Now here is the question/problem. We went wheelin last weekend and we both disconnected our sway bars to do a little flexin. Mine are mechanical and his are electronic. Today he informed me that his Jeep was running really sloppy on the highway and in between lanes. He also had his wife initaiting the sway bar button while he was listening to the front end, all he heard was a humming noise. NO moving parts or anything of the sort.

Has anyone had this problem or can anyone think of a solution or possible cure? Thanks in advance!

No, mine is working by the book. It will only disconnect or connect when level and no uneven pressure on it. It will only disconnect when in 4WD either Hi or Low and under 17 mph (prox). If you go over 17 it will try to reconnect and then not disconnect until 14 mph (prox). You push the button once and it will try to disconnect (indicator flashing). When it has the above conditions it disconnects (indicator steady on). If you push it once again it will try to disconnect when it can (indicator off).

Does he have a lift or uneven load (maybe too much in back?) That would restrict it from reconnecting? Other than that take to Stealer and let us know.

To answer your question,
He has 4.5 inches of lift w/ a new bumper and winch. It worked just fine the past weekend and now he is just kinda worried about it. Yeah He and I know that it has to be on level ground and without a load. Mine won't disconnect without being in those same conditions. We are going to look at it some more.

Try to push the front wheels against the curb and reconnect it.. I know a guy with 4,5" lift and 35"s, he said that works for him...
