Hey all. Looking at doing my first few mods and the first thing to go is the horrible stock headlights but I'm not putting 300 bucks into new lights so..... looking at around 100 for the light upgrade which would be better. The sylvania XZE halogen or an led conversion kit? Has anyone used the sylvania XZE? If preferred what led conversion kit is recommended? I see a few on amazon with decent ratings. Thanks for your input.

We have the ZXE Silvania bulbs in our Jeeps and they work great. HOWEVER, be sure to aim your headlights properly after the new bulbs are installed.
It is possible the issue you are having with the factory bulbs is as much to do with poor headlight aim as it is with crappy stock bulbs.

Neither one of those Led bulbs or ZXE bulbs are going to be much better than stock. You would be better off doing a full replacement sealed beam, you can get something for $200 that will be 1000 times better than any bulb can offer. Bulbs in a JK are a waste of money unless your doing a h4 conversion or cibies

Great bulb and you'd need the H13 to H4 adapters AND new buckets that will take the H4 bulb. I run the Hella's and I'm pretty happy with them. Still not the output of LED, but much better than stock.

Hella Lighting 002395991 - Hella 7" Round E-Code (ECE) H4 Conversion Headlight - Quadratec
KC HiLiTES 6307 - KC HiLiTES H13 to H4 Conversion Harness for 07-16 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

That and the H4 +130 bulbs gets you up and running.

There is an Osram H4 70/65w bulb that is supposed to have a little more output, but I haven't seen them in person.

OP, i have the Phillips X-tremevision bulbs in the Jeep, aimed before and after lift, and i really have no complaints with my factory headlights, i'm not sure exactly what the deal is in our forum, with regards of how badly people think the factory headlights suck, or maybe is that i've never seeing the $900 headlight setup in action :), sure i did find the factory headlights a little low light, just like 2002 Liberty was back then, but the bulbs made enough improvement to what i needed back then with the Libby, and last year when i switched them in my Jeep.

I have two 3" amazon pods mounted in the lower a-pillar, and a 14" amazon lightbar in my bumper bull bar for extra lighting, needed when i'm offroading, or just in the middle of nowhere at night where i need the extra lights, so far is being more than enough light for what i need, and i consider my factory headlights to be decent enough i've never thought upgrading them for a fancy led, not a fan of any of the aftermaket led setups we have anyways(i despise the look), so if i need more light, i'll go with more lightbars.

I've used all bulbs you can think of and they all suck including the Sylvania zxe. They are all a waste of money for the slight improvement you will get. All led bulbs are horrible and have terrible beam patterns in the stock housings. The stock housing doesn't have the proper reflectors to distribute a led light properly so it throws the light all over the place. If your not wanting to spend but a hundred bucks or so the best option is a H4 conversion and H4 halogen bulbs. They got a great beam pattern and are noticeably brighter than stock. The best route is to do a full housing swap with a sealed beam if your going to do Leds.

Yes that's the same kit. It's up to you on where you want to purchase . I'm running the rally h4 harness for my led headlights so I don't have to use ant flicker adapters and I purchased mine from rally. The only reason I did is because the have great customer service and back their products. The reason I posted the one in Amazon was just to show that Basically for $30 more than the bulbs you can get a lot better results.

But to answer your question, yes it's the same kit, just with the rally kit I think you can choose different bulbs.

If I ran it I would run the hella xeon h6024e bulbs. They are pretty much equal to the osram bulbs in brightness but have a lot longer life span. Dang talking about this is almost Making me want to run that setup for a while even though I love my LEDs.

Sorry for the extremely late reply lol i didnt go with the bulbs as im still not sure what i want. i may do the housing swap to H4, its pretty cheap and effecive so ive been reading, there also surprisingly available in my area. Ive gotten a 20" light bar to do until i upgrade the bulbs or housing.
