Anyone have experience with this cage? Is it just crap or worthwhile?

I went with the synergy A, B, and C pillar kits for my JKU. First thing I'd mention is don't think you can do this if you've never done something like this before.

I found a local guy that has done a few of these and make tweaks to it to make it even better. My impressions is that it definitely makes a driving difference, meaning it really stiffens the jeep up. This has helped make the jeep feel more planted on the trail too. With this stiffness, at low speed/low RPM I feel a small increase in drivetrain vibRation under my feet.

To ensure ease of use, I had the windshield bar and both harness bars setup to be removable. My guy also removed the C pillar crossmember and replaced it with DOM. Also, more triangulation was done. He made a few tweaks which made a great kit even better. One tweak was him melting/molding the AC ducts vs. cutting and using duct tape.

If you look at the price and coverage vs others, I came to the decision it was the best platform.

PSC: doesn't attach to the windshield and bolts in. Doesn't tie to frame
Hardrock: relies on cupplers and ties into firewall. No frame tie in and bolts in
Genright: full replacement. Optional frame tie ins. Priced close to custom cage

Genright with frame tie ins is probably the best (other than full custom) but the price is way high and the full replacement was a bit too much for me. Synergy was a great balance.

Next step for mine is to take the B cross member out and replace it. My installer is purchasing a new tube bender. What he's gonna do is take 2 piece of DOM and sandwich them with flat plate. This'll allow for holes ect. To match exactly what's in there now but MUCH stronger.

Maybe look at the rock hard cage. Seems to be a bit more easy on install.

I've installed a Rock Hard Cage and a buddy of mine has the Synergy Cage. The Synergy cage is definitely a superior safety product, but the install is pretty intense. You need to dismantle a fair bit of the interior along with being able to do fairly high quality welding and fabrication. Then reassembly requires modifying the interior trim pieces so they will fit. So you need an installer with a variety of skills.

The Rock Hard cage install takes some time but is not technically difficult. It took two of us about six hours to install the basic Rock Hard front cage kit on a 4 door. It was our first time doing it and we took our time. There are some videos out of Jeeps with the RH cage rolling down hills and the RH cage holds up pretty well.
