Tag relocation help

I am prepping to install the Rockhard 4x4 tag relocation as well as rage light and 3 brake lite kit. The wiring and such is all explained in the instructions however my question is more about how to run the wire through the tailgate.

I have the terraflex tire carrier so not dealing with a bumper and carrier combo. My question is this,

How should I or did you run the wire through the tailgate? Through the place where the factory 3rd brake light comes through? Through the vent?

I just used the factory spot. Have a plug in that spot and just drilled a small hole. (my 3rd brake light was removed when I bought it)

MY CB antenna wire goes through the vent. Either will work.

On mine, I pulled the rubber grommet that original 3rd brakelight went through, and remove the stock wires and the access panel from inside. Ran the new wires through and sealed with RTV. Also ran a CB, license plate light wire, and reverse camera through same grommet.

Made electrical connections inside.

If doing license plate light or anything else, you can run the wires through he same flex cable near the hinge in the tailgate.

not a whole lot to see with tire on, but heres the idea.

This is Tuff Stuff 3rd kit. Has 3rd brake light and license light built in.

My reverse camera is attached to the bottom of the bracket, also has a disconnect. CB Cable is also running through there.
