Question Teraflex 2.5 coil kit questions...

Those of you running this kit, how long have you had it and are you still happy with it? Any sagging issues? I'm looking to go to this kit sometime next year with 35s, the price seems reasonable with good quality.

Would you recommend this or any other kit & why?

I have had mine on now just a couple months but no complaints. I'm running stock wheels/tires.

I have this running rr xhd steel bumper and winch. No sagging after 3000 miles.

Using the front fender flare as a benchmark
Stock was line at 35.5 or so. Lower line is with bumper and no lift. 38.5 is the new edge of fender flare height.

I've run Teraflex 2.5 coil lifts on both my 2010 JK with 35s and now my 2013 JK with 35s and never had one complaint. Sturdy, well made, and correct fitting parts have been in Teraflex's history for a long time. You'll be quite happy with any lift from them. Of course that is until you want to go bigger....then they have a lift for that too!

I've had mine about 6 months now. No issues during install. Ride is pretty good. Their coils actually level the Jeep also. Even with a winch mine is still very level.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. Teraflex 2.5 is now my choice when going to 35s. I does fit my meager budget, as well. Also, would I benefit from going to at least four control arms or drop brackets? Wait until the lift is on? Would I need flat fenders?

You don't need adjustable arms at 2.5 of height. The brackets can be had if your unhappy with the ride and driving quality post lift. They do help but are not a necessity. I've never installed them or been unhappy with the ride with several 2.5 lifts.

Thanks for the information. I figured the control arms would be overkill for my use. I'll consider the brackets post lift.

I did the brackets with the lift and will tell you that I have zero issues. I do not know what it would be like without the brackets but the ride is definately nice. I know I dont really need control arms and I am not a big rock crawler so the bracket drop doesnt really cause issues. As you can see I went with Rancho 9000XLS too which are very nice shocks. The TF lift makes the Jeep look great and I love the way it drives. I have 315 duratracs and they also are great.
You dont need flat fenders but they help is you are gonna flex. They also look dame cool. You could always chop your stockers first and save the 600 bucks but the Bushwackers are pretty sweet even for that change.

I did the 2.5 TF lift without the AEV brackets at first. My steering wondered a bit because of the caster angle being off. The AEV brackets did fix it though.

I agree, drive. Not happy with handling ? Buy/install drop brackets.
