Teraflex to RK coils

Swapping my TF coils over to RK coils. Fronts are progressive which should handle a lot better. Decided to do the rears as well.
Finished the front in a little over 2'hours with the help of myself. Started to freakin downpour half way in. Used coil compressors which are a pain in the ass but they did help.


Gained 1" in height, should settle some but not much. Had to center my steering wheel and now my axle is pulled over to the drivers side again. Will wait to see if it settles and adjust from there.

She handles great. I expected a softer ride but it actually more firm, But handles bumps a hell of a lot better. Hard to explain. The RK coils are beefier coils. They just make the front end feel more stable if that makes sense ?

So far so good. Rear coils should be on by next week

Ya, the 2-doors seem to need them a bit faster. Jjust watch your disconnections/articulations. I think pluke ran a long time without any DS issues.

FYI.

I measured from the coil perch to the isolator and from ground to flare B&A

TF coils 13"
RK coils 14"

Gained 1.5" ground to flare.

Progressive also I believe?

RK uses Progressive Front and linear rear.

I like the fact that you got more lift out of the RK compared to the TF. But to be fair, TF coils are 2,5", 3" or 4" and the RK are 2,5" or 3"5. So if you had the 3" TF and swapped them for the 3,5" RK, you should gain some hight.

TF uses different part numbers. Ex: their 2.5 front coils are actually 3.1" on a 2 door but their 3" coils are not the same part #.
Then you have 4 door coils.
I do think some of them match up like 4 door 2.5" coils are 2 door 3" coils. Way too confusing IMO.
RK has 2.5 and 3.5 that's it. Same #'s if you buy separately

I am actually probably going to swap my TF to RK too. Ken, you switched out 2.5 to 2.5 and gained height? I probably won't do the swap until my gears are in though.

Yep. The coils are a little longer and sturdier.
I am sure they will settle some just like the TF did.

The pitch seem in the rear is actually higher and looking at before pics, might have had a small rake still.

Just front. Lost grease in the past running too much caster. Cut back and has been fine.
Peaked under before work today and sure enough, more grease

Back will be soon, I know it but will need uppers CA's also.
