OK, now I feel either dumb or dumber. I am still not sure this is O.K. The two parts involved here are the drag link and tie rod. Here is a pick. I think they both move as the suspension compresses so this might not be a clearance issue after all.
From the first pic it looks like there is tons of clearance but this is from an angle. Straight up and down the drag link bolts on the adjustment sleeve are right above the tie rod as in pic #2.
Sorry this one is a bit blurry. The more I look at this the more I think they move together. I will find out Friday when I work on my bump stops and check the whole suspension.
