Tire size question

About to order at 14 JKR - X in Granite. I not crazy about the stock size BFG wheels. What size can I go to for I bit more width? I would like to get a bit wider tire to get out to the edge of the fender flairs; without adding lift... At the moment.

Cool... I assume no rubbing or modification necessary?

if you don't use different rims or spacers with the stock rims you will rub on the sway bar. 285/70-17's will rub slightly at full wheel lock.

You will need the spacers with the stock wheels but the MTZs are great tires and they look even wider than they are because of the square shoulders. Officially they require 8.5" min wheels but some shops will mount them on the stock wheels.

Thanks for the info - I was planning on keeping the stock rims at the moment... I just wanted a tire that would fill up the fender width without going beyond the fender.
Spacers may be the answer... Open to any other suggestions though.
