Exclamation Trac-Lok Limited Slip Rear Differential question

Im configuring my JK and trying to be realistic,(keeping the cost down basicly). I was wondering if the Trac-Lok Limited Slip Rear Differential is a must have. Also do the 17 in wheels look that much better then the 16 in alluminum wheels? I know its sac-religous not to off road a Wrangler but I get prenty of adventure during the N.E. Ohio winters, living in the "snowbelt". So I was wondering If the Trac-lok option is more geared towards off roading or is it a nice option to have even for on road use? Thanks for your opinions

The 255/75 17s fill out the wheelwells better and look better from the front and rear as well as icreasing ground clearence since they are close to 32 in and for the 275 ya get heavier springs and better shocks......get the trac lock it will make a noticable difference in the snow.......both are good values option wise IMHO.......spring 50 bucks for the 3.73 gears while your at it.........g

I can speak in terms of the TJ trac-lock or as some call it trash lock. In general terms 9 out of 10 times on the street or on the trail your no better with it than without it. In fact to get it to work sometimes on the trail we have to pull the hand brake up a few clicks. Street wise I suppose it might help on say take off's from a light when its raining. As for rims, get which ever one you like better, I would look to see how much replacement tires are in both size's, that cost might help determine which to get.
