Transmission stuck in second gear

My 2008 Wrangler Unlimited 4 wd is stuck in second gear, the engine light is on, the AC will not work.
I have 3115 miles on the vehicle.
This is the second time this has happened, always on Friday afternoon.
Has anyone else had this issue?
The first time the dealer told me it was a simple comupter upgrade that fixed it.

It does that when it goes into "Limp Mode". There is definitely something wrong with it and the dealer is going to be your best place to start.

It's most likely a sensor in your transmission - line pressure sensor I think. The dealer may just re-boot your cpu and send you on your way, but you'll be back in about 1,200 miles or so with the same problem. "Limp Mode" is a safety feature of Chrysler that prevents further damage of your vehicle (by keeping it in 2nd gear) and allows you to get to a shop if you're in the middle of no where. From what i understand, your Jeep dealer should have your back on this one. Do what 1BLKJP said and get it in the shop. Good Luck!
