I was at the dealership for one of my free oil changes and was wandering around the lot looking at the 2015's. This new Willy's had some lights mounted by the dealership on the outside A pillar. Having just done the same thing myself, I was surprised to see that they had chosen to just drill straight through the curved sheet metal piece right there. Not bad looking as far as holes in the body go, not sure that's the way I would go though.
Not the way I would do it either, although with the heavy metal casing your sort of limited to how you could run it, I undid the screws on the cowl and ran mine underneath that, but I don't think that wire would fit.
I unscrewed that part of the fender and with the wire protector it fit.
