I have an '08 JK with a 2" short arm lift running 35's. Recently I have noticed a hard shake in the steering wheel when taking right turns (at speeds as low as 20mph). When driving straight I have no problems. It almost seems as if the problem is coming from the driver side right tire. I've checked the bearings, tie rod ends, track bar, ball joints, U joints, and sway bar. I took it in to get an alignment but the alignment is fine. I took it in to another shop and they can't figure it out as well. Everything seems tight and not damaged and the lift is set correctly. What else can I do? I'm having a hard time figuring this out when nothing looks wrong!
Did you try swapping tires front to rear just out of curiosity? I have noticed my MT's feel a little funky on low speed corners, not sure if that relates to what you're feeling or not.
First try swapping front tires right to left. See if the vibration follows. If that doesn't work try front to back. Find a tire shop that does road force balancing. It's possible that you have a tire out of round. Lastly, worse case is you might have a damaged wheel.
What air pressure are you running in your front tires? I have found if I add 4 to 6 psi to my front tires don't feel the lugs as bad.
I run 36 i my front and 32 in my rear.
So a hard shake not a vibration? Is your steering wheel centered? Maybe its triggering your abs or esp system. Mine did that turning into parking lots while under braking at speed. Weird shutter shake feeling. Idk just throwin darts.
