window switches

Do the window switches emanate with dash lights, or do you use the brale system. also how do you stop the headlights from coming on when locking the car

The headlight adjustment is in your EVIC menu if you have it - I think it's called "Illuminated Approach". Not sure about it if you don't have that, might need to be done at a dealer or with a procal.

As far as the window switches - as far as I recall, mine light up with the dash - though I could be talking out my butt. I'll have to check if I ever leave work.

Headlights - turn them off in the EVIC menu. If you don't have EVIC-

To Turn Off Flash Lights With Lock -25 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE

This feature will cause the turn signal lights to flash when
the doors are locked or unlocked with the RKE transmitter.
This feature can be turned on or turned off. To change
the current setting, proceed as follows:
• For vehicles equipped with the EVIC, refer to “Electronic
Vehicle Information Center (EVIC)/Personal
Settings (Customer-Programmable Features)” in “Understanding
Your Instrument Panel” for further information.
• For vehicles not equipped with the EVIC, perform the
following steps:
1. Press the RKE transmitter UNLOCK button for 4 to
10 seconds.
2. While the UNLOCK button is pressed, (after four
seconds) press the RKE transmitter LOCK button. Release
both buttons.
3. Test the “Flash Lights With Lock” feature outside of
the vehicle by pressing the RKE transmitter LOCK button
with the ignition in the LOCK position and the key
removed.
NOTE: Pressing the RKE transmitter LOCK button
while you are in the vehicle will activate the Vehicle
Security Alarm. Opening a door with the Vehicle Security
Alarm activated will cause the alarm to sound. Press the
RKE transmitter UNLOCK button to deactivate the Vehicle
Security Alarm.
The “Flash Lights With Lock” feature can be reactivated
by repeating this procedure.

I don't think my window switches light up, and I'm too lazy to look right now too...

Apparently I'm a liar. I was driving home early this morning and noticed that the switches on my 2014 JKU are lit. On each rocker, there is a horizontal green line.

can anyone tell me what the purpose of the 'window lock' toggle switch is (located in the centre of the 4 window switches) - I have a JKU.

It doesn't seem to do anything? I can operate all 4 windows up or down with this switch in either position??

When its pressed down, passengers cannot roll windows down or up. When its locked or not, the driver can control all windows.

It disables the window switches in the back seat.

Yep, me too. I drive with the lights dimmed to the first setting too so I didn't notice until I really looked.
