Wink 03 TJ jeep wrangler problem PLEASE HELP!

My 2003 Jeep wrangler can't be driven more than 25 miles because it starts having problems as soon as it warms. It looks like the engine loose compression and I have to wait for the engine to get cooler so I can run the jeep again. I have been told that can be the Oxigen Sensor or the Catalytic Converter. When this happens there is like a sulfur smell. I took it to a muffler shop and I was told that if the malfunction only happens when the engine is warm and not when the engine is cold it is not a catalytic problem is that right?? (There is no check engine lights on)
Also last year when I took it to get the inspection sticker the oxigen sensor came on the computer to be replaced it but I didn't,,,, This year that oxigen sensor problem did not coame out on the inspection sticker procedure
Please suggest any solution.
Thanks

Also, I'd place my bets on a clogged catalytic converter...especially with the sulfur smell coming from the tailpipe.

Not sure why it only does it after it warms up, but my brother's car had the same problem and it too began as only showing symptoms after it warmed up...if you wanna test this out. Unhook your O2 sensor in front of the cat and see if it seems to run a little better after it starts acting up. By unhook the O2 sensor, you'll be allowing the exhaust another hole to escape from...if the cat is clogged, it should run a little better. Still won't be great...but should show an improvement.

Hello Terrible2, I am a new user. My jeep problems started maybe two weeks ago and I am desperate!! By any chance do you know what are the symptoms of a O2 Failure? or Catalytic convertor?
Thanks

Usually you will have a CEL when Catalytic converter sensors read a difference between the sensors. Smell could be one of fuel injectors dump to much fuel in to the intake sys.
when problem happens might check fuel pressure and pull spark plugs and check for discolor between plugs. At night time check fire jumping in electrical sys and connections coil pack and crank position sys.
