04 wrangler ticking engine/ noise from trans

Hey guys, New member here with years of jeep experience/ownership/sales of used ones also. Anyway took the 04 rubicon in to david oneal dealer in raleigh nc with 2 issues, and only had it 2 weeks and just got the warranty transferred. Issue one theyre going to fix, ie replace trans due to failed rear output bearing, so thats good and only cost me a 100 bucks. Issue 2 is an ticking coming form engine bewtween 1800-220 rpms roughly that can be heard in the cab with hardtop and closed windows, they are claiming nothing is wrong but I have had many 4.0 liters that never sounded this bad. Question is how has anyone else got the dealer to fix/diagnose this issue and what was the dealers/chyrsler resolution. It kindas sounds to me like an cracked manifold but they said they checked and it wasnt leaking, but I have seen some condinsation drip out from the welds on the mini cats. Anyway, any help is greatly appreciated, and will returned in kind.

Mine does it too, as well as many people with newer rubis, maybe even new TJs. Seems the newer ones have many new noises and quirks over the old ones Ive also had my 6spd replaced a few times, as well as that engine noise. Dealer said noise is normal. they are pretty honest, fixed most things without a hassle, so I think it really is a "normal" noise on these new ones.

I thought it might be an exhaust leak also. Had the downpipe replaced, new gaskets, and the manifold tightened as it was hitting my front driveshaft. Noise still there.

My 05 sport makes ticking noises too. Guess its pretty normal. It sounds like when the throw up bearing went in my Stang. Had it checked several times, no probs. Just turn the radio up.
You'll be in a great mood all day because you'll be slapping all your troubles away.
