05 TJ wont start, high pitched noise through the speakers

Hi I'm new to the forum (sort of I got the account a while ago haven't really gotten to use it.) I went to start my jeep and I got the tick tick tick noise you get when you have a dead battery. The weird part is that in addition to the normal beeping my car does when I turn it on where was a higher pitched noise played through the speakers for 20-30 seconds after I turned the key. There really isnt any reason for me to have a dead battery all the lights were off and nothing was plugged into the cigarette liter.
Any ideas?

Wow, that is weird. Did you get it started? Is it still making the crazy noise?

Sounds like a bad ground in around ignition and or under steering column. Or often times if the radio constant wire is connected but there is a bad connection to the radio ignition wire, you will get strange popping or hissing from speakers and will run the battery dead. Do you have a after market Radio?, recently installed?

Does it have an older Pioneer head unit. Some of the older ones have an alarm built in that have a starter kill and internal siren. But the tick tick tick is probably still a dead battery

I have an older aftermaket pioneer head unit but it has been in for a while. I havent started it yet because I need to wait for my roommate to get back so that I can jump it. It did get rained on last week during marti gras because I was lets say incapacitated and didnt realize the top was down. The thing is it has worked fine since then and it is completely dried out.

Just realized I never updated this. I jumped it and it started fine. The noise stopped. My roommate said he saw it on in my car that nit after I got out so I guess it is just a warning just like BigCrave said.

Thanks for all the responses
