06 TJ 6 speed transmission problems

i have a 2006 Wrangler TJ, 4.0L, with the 6 speed manual transmission. has anyone else had major problems with these transmissions? i have right at 120K miles on mine the original transmission started popping out of gear while driving on pavement one day, and 2 days later it came apart (literally grenaded itself driving through town at 35mph) so i replaced it with a low milage transmission (23K on a side swipe front end wrecked jeep) and now about 5000 miles later.. This 6speed is starting to act up. if there is a problem with the 6 speed manuals, im considering on reverting it back to the 5 speed manual that didnt seem to have as many problems.. if i do that are there any modifications that need to be made, or will the 5 speed "bolt in" the same as the 6 speed does. i like the 6 speed idea, but dropping $1500 (used) to $3000+ (Remanufactured) every couple months.. isnt practically possible..
any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated
