Even though the 15 gallon tank was supposed to be standard in the 1999 SE, mine has a 15 gallon tank. Other than dropping the small one out and strapping in a wrecking yard 19 gallon tank, is there anything else to this? The sender is terrible so I was going to replace that in the process. I take it the sender and fuel pump are one unit.
Second question, a new factory tank is $350 or so. Does anybody make an aftermarket one that is less?
He is saying the 19 gallon tank and the 15 gallon tank are the same thing? He just cuts two tubes and it takes 19 gallons? The factory manual I found on line does suggest the tubes being cut are for roll-over protection. Seriously?

It's definitely not for roll over protection. I can verify that the 19 gallon tank does not have this feature. The "rollover" valves are those two tubes on top of the gas tank. The ones on the side are simply filler and air vent.

Tried using a gas siphon and about 24 inches in it jams and won't reach the gas. It is so firm and predictable a blockage that it's almost like there's a restrictor in there to prevent siphoning. Those who have siphoned it out -- how'd you do it?
