1999 Wrangler overcharging

Last week I drove out of my driveway and the Check Gauges light came on. My Voltmeter was pegged. With the engine off the battery voltage was 14.1V and with it running it went up to 18.5V. I replaced the alternator thinking that the internal voltage regulator was bad. The problem is still there. I tried another battery and still bad. I then realized that the voltage regulator is in the PCM. I have the wiring diagrams so I checked the wires between the alternator and PCM and they are all good - no opens or shorts. So it looks like the PCM is bad. Has anyone else come across this? Also, can anyone recommend a good place to get a re-built PCM? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

How are your battery connectors? Did you wire brush them thoroughly so they are clean, fit well, and are tight on the battery?

Thanks. For anyone interested or has the same problem, it was the PCM. I replaced it with a re-manufactured one and it solved the over-charging problem
