Question 1st timer with pic

I just bought a used 2003 TJ. Has a lift. How can I tell if the speedo gear ect. has been changed to compensate for the larger tires that the previous owner had on it. I have no ideal what size tire it was running or if any other mods was done.

judging by the size of the tires your speedo shouldn't be to far off, I wouldn't worry about it.

Want new rims and tires

The tires on it are small P255/70/r15. Want to upgrade to 32's or 33"s

have to take it out. the number will be stamped into the plastic gear.

also the tire size and gear ratio will determain the speedo gear you need.

So you need to know what tire you will be running to determain the gear you need.

Here is a good chart ....

I just used a GPS to get a close approximation. Its not like you are ever speeding in a Jeep anyway.
