2.4 gasp when giving it gas.

Ive had my Jeep for 8 months now. Its an 04 2.4 5 speed with 17k miles.

The intake gasp sound is EXTREMELY apparent any time fuel is applied ie: giving it gas after shift. No egine or intake mods have been done. The engine is as stock as stock can be (exception being dirt) Oh and yes, i replaced the air filter with another paper one and it's still the same.

Is this a 2.4 litre Jeep thing???

Just wondering cause I'm tired of looking and finding nothing obvious.
