2.4l stalls after start up

i have a 2.4l 2004 manual trans, ive been having issues when i start up its not every time i start either and it seems to be just fine after it warms up. to get it to warm up on those days i baby it at 1000 rpm's till it holds it. also when i have this problem it has a tendency to have a rough idle and its stalled on me but usually drops to 400 rpm's only when i come to a complete stop while in gear and moving its mostly fine rpm's drop very fast if i try t coast to a stop. i've asked a couple of guys i know and a jeeper i know but no one has been able to give me an answer.

I would give it a tune up. New plugs and wires. I recommend NGK plugs and the factory replacement plug wires.... Then I would get a can of throttle body cleaner and while the throttle body is off anyways.... Spray the hell out of every nook and cranny mainly the idle air control valve and the area around the main air inlet also.... A new air filter probly wouldn't hurt since your air box will be out also...

I forgot to mention I did plugs and wires when I changed my oil wasn't any more then 300 miles ago I was just checking everything out the throttle body could get cleaned and a new air filter wouldn't hurt. But I was trying to do 1 thing at a time just to pin point what it was sence I've never seen it happen before.

Could be the IAC valve is dirty or plugged it lets air in to idle the engine when the throttle body is closed. So it could be starving for air when your foot is off the gas. Just an idea.

yea after i looked up some videos of iac valve issues it looks alot like whats going on and would explain why it only happens at idle. not when the throttle body is feeding air in.thanks i plan on cleaning it this weekend im thinking Saturday and ill get back on and post what happens kinda difficult to know if it will solve the issue though sense it isn't happening every time just glad its not throwing any codes off.
