2" Coil Spring Spacer

I currently run 3 inch body, 4 inch suspension, and 35/14/15 Hawgs with 15x12 wheels on my wrangler. Looking to get a little bit more clearance cause i am thinking about moving up to 36" TSL's. Wondering if anyone here has used those spacers, and what your thoughts on them are. I know i would also have to do a SYE kit and get a new driveshaft. Just looking for some opinions on this one.

i think you could already run 36's with 7 inches of lift...yeah you'll need an sye and new driveshaft...i've heard of some people using spacers on top of a 4 inch suspension lift and it be fine but i've heard some people say that it's not a good idea to run spacers on top of a 4 inch suspension lift

Yeah, a buddy of mine has the same suspension lift i have, but with no body lift, and he runs 35s, he put the 2 inch spacers on front and rear, and he said he has a nasty vibration, which i'm sure would be eliminated by the SYE. I think i could run 36s right now too, but i want more height because i like the clearance

You'll need an SYE - in fact you even need one now even though you're getting away with a t-case drop. You should be able to fit 36's on your current setup - however if you MUST go 6" of suspension you can run your short arms for a while, but you really should switch over to long arms.

Personally I'd get a longarm and add the 2" spacers, then remove your body lift for a 1" instead of a 3"

If you want more clearance - add a tummy tucker; or heck gain an inch back by installing an SYE and not needing the t-case drop. More lift is not a good solution to getting more clearance as it sacrifices stability a lot.

JeepCrawler, the problem is, i'm strapped for money right now, and just looking for a little bit more height. My long term plan, eventually i am going to ditch the 4 inch, put on a 6 long arm, 2 inch spacer and leave the 3 inch body, put a dana 44 in the front, and run 38 inch tsl's, but that probably wont be at least for another year. So for now, would that work?

It can be done WranglerHawk, but you will need to get adjustable upper control arms to get your pinion angle right. You will need to roll the pumkin back, to decrease the more severe angle put on the drive shaft. As JeepCrawler98 mentioned, you will need the SYE kit, with a double cardon style driveshaft, which will allow you to put your skid plate back to it's factory position, thus allowing you to get more clearance, and eliminate vibrations. I would suggest getting adjustable track bars to keep your geometry correct as well.

You need to check out JeepCrawler98's write up, with photo's, on doing the SYE conversion. He did a fantastic job on this.

It would work... for now. Just for future reference, 11" of lift on a TJ on 38" tires is way excessive - 7" or 8" should be PLENTY even if you're not going to do any fender trimming; on a vehicle as short as a TJ that just gets scary top heavy - ideally you'd even want to stretch your wheelbase to somewhere around 100 to 106". I'd also recommend going up to Dana 60's at that point with the 6 cylinder instead of the Dana 44's - tires that big need some beef to hold them up.

definitely gonna want some new axles...long arm would be a tremendous improvement...but i know there expensive

I would also think with 38's you may want to look into a new steering system such as the ARG box and pump. Those big meats will kill the stock units. As for the 44 axle's.. if your mud running under lots of gas, I would speed by them and get some 60's or dana 50's with 35 splines shafts to save a bit of coin.

35 splines are strong...that will be perfect for some big meats...they can handle just about any size tire...i've seen many 40" plus tires on dana 60's with the 35 splines

IMO the two main things that would be the biggest issue would be your Driveshaft angle and length and the track bar geometry. With having the slip yoke still on the tcase adding that much more lift to a stressed environment will cause you to lose your shaft. Then the axles will be moved over a bit more after adding another 2 inches to the height of the body. So in my mind and SYE and Adjustable Track bars would be the minimum you would need to wheel that setup with another 2" on it.

i have a 2 inch spacer lift on my jeep and its great. just buy one thats soft so no vibration occurs. ive had mine in for a couple years and there just great, GO FOR IT!
