I'm not sure about much on Black Magic's brake pads which I run other than they are not ceramic and they outbrake any pad I have ever used in 40+ years of driving.
A pulsating brake pedal is only sometimes the result of warped brake rotors, it is more often caused by a patterned buildup of brake pad material on the rotors... much like how a hardpacked dirt road can develop that regular vibration-producing pattern known as a washboard surface. Not doing a "limousine stop" which is the gradual release of brake pedal pressure as the vehicle slows to a stop, or keeping the brakes applied hard when at a stop, can start the process towards that same type of washboard surface on the brake pads.
Blaine Johnson of Black Magic brakes is the forum's resident brake expert, and he truly is an expert on brakes by any definition of 'expert, and he can likely give you a good procedure for getting rid of the buildup. Ever since I started braking differently after his advice, I have had no more of what I used to incorrectly think was warped rotors.
But when/if you are ready for a great brake upgrade, his kit with new Centric Premium rotors and his Black Magic pads would be a very good way to go. BlackMagicBrakes.com
