Unhappy 2001 starting problems HELP!!!

So 2001 TJ 5 speed and when i go to crank it up it goes to 1200 or so rpm and immediately drops down to 150 or so and then if i dont give it gas it dies, But if i do give it gas to about 2000 and then release then it will stay cranked... any help guys?

So to reply to my own post i think it was a battery charging problem. I had the doors open for about 4 hours installing a PA system and CB this afternoon. So i drove it around for about an hour and hooked it up to a trickle charger and it cranked right up YAY
