2002 Jeep TJ clutch problems!

So here it goes......hoping for some insight. My clutch pedal starting getting "sticky" when depressing and releasing it. I also noticed the the tranny would engage closer to the floor when I started to release the clutch. There is some squealing that goes along with this.....primarily when the clutch pedal is up. While the jeep is running and the clutch pedal is depressed I can't put it into gear. If I turn it off then I can put it in gear and when I start it in gear I can feel it try to lurch forward slightly while it's turning over. Once running, still in 1st gear, I can feel that it wants to take off slightly like the clutch isn't fully engaged. I backed the studs off of the slave cylinder to ensure it's engaging when the clutch pedal is depressed. Slave cylinder seems to be operating correctly. Thanks in advance!

Waiting patiently!

The springs in your pressure plate are going bad or the fork on your throw-out bearing is bent.
My 98 does the exact same thing. Time for a new clutch :^/

Had the same thing happen to my '97. It was the pressure plate. Replaced everything with a clutch kit from clutchcityonline.com
