2002 Wrangler - Rear Seat Belts

I am a novice and admitted moron who is trying to help his son with his Wrangler. We just put in a Bestop TrailMax™ II Fold & Tumble Rear Bench Seat and realized that we have no seat belts. I have no idea if we can buy them somewhere and if we can are they difficult to install? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Does your jeep not have the stock rear belts? The rear belts shoudl be mounted directly to the floor so if the belts aren't there the bracket should still be.

It originally did have them, but I'm not sure if the brackets are still there, I will have to check. If it doesn't have the brackets, can I order them and the belts from somewhere?

yea you can get them from me. if I can figure out how to get the seat belt off near the shoulder point where its attached to the rollbar you can.

I actually still need to learn how to get my rollbar padding off... promised a guy on this forum id sell it to him but its a little more than unzipping

If you want to be covered by your insurance you should be sure they are anchored properly. There are specific FMVSS standards the manufacturers must meet and if you just bole something in your insurance may not cover you in an accident.

I would get the proper brackets from the dealer.

I spoke to dealer and was told that the parts would be around $300 per seat belt, not installed, just the parts. This seems very pricey to me. Thoughts please?

Yes it's high but then those are dealer list prices. Look for some in a salvage yard.

unbolt your roll cage, and they slide right off.

The "roll up" mechanisim(sic) should just unbolt from the roll cage. At least it did on my 2003.
