2003 wrangler x 4.0 has no power

I bought my wrangler in June and it doesn't have the power I think it should I had a 98 Sahara 4.0 and it got up and went my moms 01 sport 4.0 gets up and goes but mine is just slow it doesn't have the power it should always having to downshift. What could be causing this I know it should have more pick up. Now after lifting it obviously its not going to have the pick up it had stock but I swear it could get passed by a snail any help appriciated. Changed the coil boots and plugs hollowed out the cat changed air filter still no improvement

ok but why would it be the gears if the problem existed before the lift and tires?

Did it have stock tires before the ones you put on?

Her Sport might have 3.73s and yours might have 3.07s. It would make a noticeable difference. Just a thought. Check both of your rear differentials for the metal tags with the gear ratio.

It's cool, it's the NV3550, I have the same one, if you're ping to go up to 33s then most advisable is 4.56

Your transmission type will determine the gear ratio you need. However, you also have to ask yourself, are you ever going to be putting bigger tires on it? Are 32s as big as you'll ever go? If not, wait and regear then. Because the proper ratio with these tires will not be ideal for, say, 33s or 35s. Also, you might want to consider your rear axle. Not many people will advise you to spend any extra money on a D35, as they are known to suck.

well my tires are still in great shape so it will be awhile before i replace them i might go bigger not sure i only have a 4 inch. would it be a bad idea to get the gears and put them in with only 32s. also where would i purchase the gears.

Read NCs post, exactly what I would advise. Regearing is a huge thing and pretty pricey.

If you're eventually going to but on bigger tires, then wait. Also, fender modifications would easily allow you to run bigger tires than you would expect. I would order gears through a shop when the time comes.

4.10 would be it then, don't rush into it, it's about 1200 to do both axles and like NC mentioned, the 35 rear is a hit or miss.

Personally, I would wait until you get 33s and go with some 4.56s. 32s are kind of an odd size to regear for, IMO.
