2004 Jeep TJ 4.0 keeps burning out same coils

two weeks ago my engine light started blinking and i lost lots of power. garage said coils need replaced. I spent $600 coils, plugs. 24 hrs driving home it happened again. thought defective part. week later AGAIN same thing. exact same coils keep failing. Its so frustrating. any help would be appreciated.

I had this happen to a buddies dodge magnum years ago. It ended up being the computer that was bad and kept burning up the coil.

All the PCM does is pulse the coil pack grounds

The coil packs also get a constant plus 12

Having trouble seeing how the PCM improperly pulsing coil ground would "burn out a coil"

Maybe PCM not regulating alt output leading to excessive overall system voltage but items besides coil would likely be damaged
