2006 wrangler 6cy valve cover removal

Hi,

Can anyone here provide some assistance on removing the valve cover from my 06 wrangler x?

I'm having trouble removing the wiring harness at the back of the cover. I'm able to remove the black plastic bridge piece, but the harness is still tight.

Can anyone recommend some help please.

Btw, I've search and found other treads about changing the valve cover, but none specifically references an 2006.

Thanks
Tsutaz

Not sure if there's much difference on other years, but on my '01 I was able to tuck the wire harness toward the back, between the cover and the fire wall.

I did the same on my '02. Just tucked it back behind the valve cover close to the firewall.

Seems simple enough, I guess I could try squishing the harness down, there's not much room to push the harness back due to the plastic bridge piece.

if your 06 is like my 05 the harness won't move much if at all. You just have to keep working at it and eventually you'll get the cover at the right angle to remove/install it.

I've been wiggling mine for a couple hours.. still making no progress. Anyone have any updated tips? I started lifting at the front and I'm wondering if I should have started at a different angle.
