Well that is odd. Here are the pin outs for my ’05. Usually the ’05 & ’06 are the same. The wire at pin #6 should go directly to the relay at either 85 or 86. See if you can test if pin #6 is getting 12v when you turn the switch all the way to the start position.

OK, I posted without seeing yours. Yes the corner one. No voltage with the connector on & the switch turned all the way to the start position?

See if pin #1 (red wire, corner above 6) has power. That comes from fuse #22.

I put the ignition switch and key assembly back together. Then I checked the red wire with the key on and had 12v. I checked the pk/or with key in start position and had 12v. Can't remember the site you told me about. Can you send me a link. (Wiring diagram)

See online read only FSMs here:
Jeep Knowledge Base
You may have to go to the bottom of the page & pick Jeep Resources & online manuals if it directs you to home page rather than the knowledge base. Then pick the section you need.

Pick TJ Unlimited to get the manual for '04-'06. I think it is actually an '04 manual but good for most '06 info.

Now that you know you have power to the pk/or wire see if it is getting to the relay (85 or 86) when you get back to it.
