233 shaft swap

I have a NP 233 C Tcase that I want to swap into my TJ. I also have a NP 231 that I am taking out of the TJ. My question is : will the front output shaft in the 231 interchange with the front output shaft in the 233 ??? The reason I am asking, the 233 came out of a 95 blazer with the cv joint front shaft and the jeep front shaft yoke will not fit. Any other ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all you help

233 shaft swap

Hey guys: We put a 4.3 chevy, auto tranny and t case out of a 95 blazer into the 97 wrangler. I cannot find any yokes that will fit the front output shaft on the 233. thats why I am asking if the 231 shaft will interchange. the 231 that we have is a good one, but I don't think the 231 will bolt to the 4l60e without and adapter.

did you keep the 4.0 or did you use a chevy motor to? just curious.

i've definately no experience with this swap, but they make u joints with two different size caps that come in handy. like a 1310 and a 1330 cap in one joint.

233 shaft swap

Hey guys: We used the blazer drivetrain, 4.3 engine, 4l60e, 233 t case. The 233 tcase front output shaft is a 17 spline with a snap ring, not threaded with a nut. The yoke is a cv joint type and nothing else will fit unless it is special made. Will the front shaft on the t case interchange with the front shaft on a 231 ?

Thanks

I have no clue... last chevy I worked on was a vette. Call advance adapotors or novak... they might be able to help you.

that setup sounds like a downgrade to be honest.
