265-75-16 on stock rubicon??

CAn I fit a set of 265-75-16 Bfg MUDs on a stock 2003 rubicon? The stock tire is a 245-75-16. Every where I check can't or does not have the stock tire size in Bfg. Any help would be great.

Before I got my 2" lift for my Rubicon I put 265/75-R16's on it. They'll fit just fine with the stock wheels.

Thanks. Now I've got a bit more peace of mind knowing it will work. It's hell finding stock rubicon tires. There are not that many to choose from. The next size up seems to have more selections.

So, what tires did you get? did they rub at all? I also have a 2006 Rubicon and will be buying new tires soon. I want to go with the 265/75 16s as well but want to confirm they fit ok...

I cannot imagine you will be able to wheel it with those tyres without large bumpstops. A 265/75/16 is almost 32".

265/75 16 Duratracs

Are they mounted on stock rims and if so how far do they stick out to the side... Pics? :-) I am getting some Mickey Thompson Black Classic II rims with 4.5 backspacing, which will make my wheels stick out .5" further than the stock Moab wheels. Then you add the extra tire width. Just don't want to stick out too far...

Just don't wheel it hard and disconnect the swaybar - you WILL cause damage.

That's a stock TJ with 267/75/16 mudders and the tires are taller than name brands due to them being retreads. They fit and do fine on the road except when i back up to park. They rub on the arms. Wheeling it is out of the question LOL.

Timareich, how has it been with those 265/75/16s under your Rubicon? I have a 2003 Rubicon with no lift whatsoever and I'm looking to put Treadwright 265/75R16 CLAW B2B (E) M/T under mine. I'd appreciate hearing how yours has been handling that size. Thanks!

They "fit" stock height , i recommend at least a 2" bb with the extended bumpstops to wheel. Like stated before they will rub something eventually if wheeled.
