27 spline w/CCE V.S 30 spline

Would a dana 35 (on 33's) with a lockright and superior 27 spline chromoly axles, CCE kit and truss system be just as reliable as the super 35 kit(no truss or CCE) with the Detroit or close to it. It would be about the same cost to do either but I already have a free lockright. With the lockright and 27's I can install and go. With the s35 I would have to mess with the backlash. Its not a question on "should I" because I know I will get build and 8.8 which I’m considering. Just weighing all the options. Thanks.

Ok let me ask it like this. Would the 27 spline chromoly axles with the CCE and truss system from superior be just as reliable as their super 35 kit with the 30 spline axles. Would they be about the same strength or are the 27 spline axle way weaker no matter if you truss them or not. And Im talking both being locked. Or would the axles be fine but the stock carrier with the lockright would explode. This is in a rock crawling enviornment in moderate to hard trails with 33" tires. Im trying to determine if the free lockright is worth my time. Thanks

Superior Axle's Evolution Series 30 spline alloy axle shafts are uber-strong and far stronger than even the Dana 44's OE carbon 30 spline steel axle shafts. They are of course also far stronger than Superior Axle's 27 spline Evolution Series shafts.

However, Superior Axle's Evolution Series 27 spline hardened alloy shafts are about the same strength, if not slightly stronger, than the OE carbon steel Dana 44 30 spline shafts are so even their 27 spline Evolution Series shafts are a very worthy upgrade.
